Alkohol ist Teil des Alltags, und an der Sucht Alkoholismus erkrankte Menschen sind Teil des Stadtbildes.
Neue Wege des Zugehens auf diese Menschen wagt seit 2009 das Modellprojekt “Straßensozialarbeit für erwachsene Alkoholkranke” der MobileStreetWork in Trägerschaft des SZL Suchtzentrums Leipzig. Der räumliche Schwerpunkt liegt im Stadtbezirk Altwest. Finanziert wird das Projekt über das EFRE-Programm der Europäischen Union.
Die bündnisgrüne Stadträtin Katharina Krefft, die das Projekt mit anschob, nennt die Arbeit der MobileStreetWork im Gespräch mit L-IZ “beeindruckend erfolgreich”. Die Beschwerden wegen Ruhestörung seien um 40 Prozent zurückgegangen, auch gebe es weniger Trinkerplätze und einen abnehmenden Alkoholkonsum.Die beiden Streetworker sprechen die Trinkenden regelmäßig an ihren Treffpunkten an, informieren sie über Beratungs- und Ausstiegsangebote und vermitteln in weiterführende Angebote wie Entgiftung, ambulant betreutes Wohnen, Angebote der Wohnungslosenhilfe. Dass durch die Tätigkeit der Sozialarbeiter die Anzahl von Anzeigen und Beschwerden signifikant zurückgegangen sei, bestätigten nach Angaben der bündnisgrünen Ratsfraktion Polizei, Ordnungsamt und lokale Akteure.
“Und: Die Betroffenen fühlen sich angenommen mit ihren Problemen, sind zugänglich für die Sozialarbeiter, nehmen Hilfeangebote wahr”, so die Grünen-Sozialpolitikerin weiter. So beteiligten sich die Suchtkranken am Frühjahrputz – “für manchen die erste Tätigkeit seit langem”, hebt Katharina Krefft hervor. Besonders bewege sie, dass mit der Arbeit des SZL Suchtzentrum gezeigt werden kann: “Wir brauchen keine Verdrängung, keine Verbote”. Statt dessen gehe es um “Aufeinanderzugehen”, so das Credo der Medizinerin Krefft. Mit niedrigschwelligen Hilfen “wird das hässliche Gesicht des Alkoholkonsums gemäßigt, ist es kein öffentliches Ärgernis mehr”.Deshalb soll nach dem Willen der bündnisgrünen Ratsfraktion diese Form der Straßensozialarbeit auch nach dem Auslaufen der EFRE-Förderung im September fortgesetzt werden. In ihrem Stadtratsantrag fordern sie, das Hilfsangebot in ein ständiges Projekt der Stadt Leipzig umzuwandeln und das Angebot auf weitere Stadtteile zu erweitern. Gedacht ist dabei an Teile der Stadtbezirke Ost, West und Altwest, da deren Beiräte den Antrag mit beraten sollen. Auch der Sozialausschuss des Stadtrates und der kommunale Drogenbeirat werden eingebunden sein.
Den Grünen schwebt eine Finanzierung durch geeignete EU-Programme, das nötige Eigenkapital aus dem städtischen Haushalt und gegebenenfalls durch finanzielle Beteiligung von Vermietern, Wohnungsgesellschaften und Einkaufszentren vor.
Streetworker Tino Neufert vom Suchtzentrum begrüßt den Antrag. Sozialarbeit und im Besonderen aufsuchende Sozialarbeit sei Kontakt- und Beziehungsarbeit, die langfristig angelegt werden sollte. “Um die Menschen auf den Plätzen zu erreichen und geeignete Hilfen anbieten zu können, muss ein Vertrauensverhältnis bestehen”, sagt er zu L-IZ, “dies ist immer prozesshaft zu betrachten und entsteht nicht von heute auf morgen.”
Nach siebzehn Monaten seien erste Erfolge sichtbar. Zudem sei man in der “komfortablen Lage, ein dem Suchtzentrum Leipzig zugehöriges Netzwerk nutzen zu können, dass es uns ermöglicht, in vielen Fällen kurz und zeitnah Unterstützung anzubieten, die unsere Klienten als motivierend und lösungsorientiert erleben”, so Tino Neufert weiter.
Dazu zählten zum Beispiel Tagesausflüge oder Angebote des Tagestreffs “Insel” in der Plautstraße oder weiterführende Betreuungen. “Wir haben bis dato ungefähr 200 verschiedene Menschen hier im Leipziger Westen auf den von uns frequentierten Trinkplätzen kennen gelernt und halten zu ungefähr 50 Klienten regelmäßigen Kontakt”, erzählt der Streetworker über seine Arbeit. Man sei akzeptiert. Zudem stünden die Streetworker mit den Gewerbetreibenden in Kontakt, deren Geschäfte sich in der Umgebung der aufgesuchten Trinkplätze befänden.
“Von Polizei und Ordnungsamt bekamen wir die Rückmeldung, dass unsere Arbeit spürbare positive Auswirkungen hat”, unterstreicht Tino Neufert abschließend.
